Vodafone has slashed the price of its top 100Mbps product for the NBN by almost 23 percent, in an effort to persuade more users to adopt higher tier services.
Over the next six months, its price for the top-level services will be cut from $89 a month to just $69. But the price will return to $89 at the end of the six months.
“We think it’s important that customers try out the NBN100 speed and make up their own minds what speed tier works for their household,” said Vodafone’s general fixed line services general manager Matthew Lobb.
The move is said to bring the current 100Mbps product in line with the pricing of the company’s 50Mbps NBN product. It’s unclear if Voda will do anything to mollify current 50Mbps customers, who may be miffed to discover others are paying the same as them but getting the much faster connection.
