OZ Start-up Bridges E-Tail & Retail Gap
Open4Sale announced an online retail service in the US this week which links home shoppers to retail stores via web chat.
After over two years of development, headquartered out of Australia, the company is set to offer services connecting consumers to retailers in a platform that also allows consumers to make their purchases online.
Open4Sale founder and CEO Simon La Barrie announced the new service at an investor conference in Los Angeles, California.
A demo of the service shows how it would operate in reality, with a store clerk taking a customer through a physical store via iPad and giving person-to-person advice before they make a purchase from their home PC.
The company’s site originally functioned as a real estate, shopping and online marketing portal before the recent branching out.
