Oh, Ho – Oppo To Star At Woolies

Chinese handset company Oppo is expanding its Australian presence via a new partnership with supermarket giant Woolworths. The partnership will see the company’s latest smartphones – the F1s, R9 and R9 Plus – all make their way into the supermarket chain.

The announcement was part of the company’s launch event for the F1s, which touts an 1.5gHz octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM, all bundled together in a lavish golden shell-design with a 5.5-inch display atop it.

According to Oppo Australia’s chief marketing officer Michael Tran, “Our partnership with Woolworths will get more of our premium devices into the hands of customers nationwide. While we’re still a relatively young player in the Australian market, we are quickly becoming one of the leading brands for affordable premium smartphones.”

The F1s is available at Woolies on a $35/month plan or outright through JB Hi-Fi for $349. – Channel News
