LG Locks In September Launch Date For V20

LG’s upcoming LG V20 smartphone is set to be launched on September 6 in San Francisco and September 7 in Seoul.

The launch date has been posted via the LG Korea website, accompanied by a picture of an open pop-up book and the tagline: “Play More”.

“The second story begins, LG V20”, it is stated beneath the book along with the launch date and city.

LG had earlier this week revealed that the V20 would arrive running Google’s upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

The V20 is the successor to the V10, the first in LG’s V series of smartphones, launched last year, with LG stating that it builds upon the multimedia experience of the V10.

“It will be tuned to take advantage of many of the best features of Nougat, including Vulkan-supported graphics for more immersive gaming, while also delivering better battery performance with Doze,” LG stated earlier this week.

LG has advised that the V20 will begin shipping in the third quarter, while the extent of its availability in the Australian market remains to be seen.
