Seek Co-Founder Now Nitro Chairman

Seek Co-Founder Now Nitro ChairmanIn this role, Rockman will be responsible for providing strategic and cultural guidance to help the company continue its trajectory of rapid growth and position itself as a global leader. The appointment is Rockman’s first official corporate engagement since 2006.

Launched in 2005, Nitro has over 50 employees with offices in San Francisco, Melbourne and Europe.  The company has seen revenue figures double in size in both 2008 and 2009 and over thirty million people have downloaded Nitro’s Free Family of PDF solutions, including the world’s most popular free PDF creator, PrimoPDF.

“I was first exposed to Nitro through a 2007 capital raising and since then, I’ve watched the company more than triple in size, expand internationally and assemble a formidable management team. Every entrepreneur enjoys a challenge and taking on a market behemoth like Adobe is exactly that.   I firmly believe that Nitro has the product, brand, and operational capability to transform the PDF software market on a global scale,” said Rockman.

Sam Chandler, Nitro’s CEO, says the appointment of Rockman will bring the additional experience needed to take the company to the next level.

“Matt has proven experience moving a company through the challenges that come with huge growth and at this stage in our development, that’s invaluable. Having someone of Matt’s calibre on board is a real coup,” said Chandler.
