Google Appoints General Manager for ANZ Business

Prior to his appointment, Temsamani has held management roles at Fairfax Media, including Group Director for Fairfax General magazines and Commercial Director for Newspapers.

Karim Temsamani was also the publisher and Vice President of Who Weekly at Time Inc South Pacific from 1999 to 2002 and has also served in a variety of senior capacities with Hachette, including the positions of regional business publisher in Hong Kong (1995-96), associate publisher for Korea in Seoul (1996-97), and managing director for Hachette in Sydney (1997-99).

Google’s Regional Managing Director for South Asia, Richard Kimber said, “Australia and New Zealand have always been important parts of Google’s operations.  We have made a significant investment here and Karim’s appointment is a key step in our growth. He will focus on continuing to build our sales and operations team and developing Google’s strategic relationships with industry partners.”

Karim Temsamani said, “I am delighted to have the opportunity to take on this new role.  It’s an exciting time for our users, advertisers and partners in Australia and New Zealand. We are committed to increasing our investment here to better serve Australian and New Zealand consumers, small and large advertisers, advertising agencies and enterprises of all sizes.”
