Vodafone Data Biz Takes A Crash
Problems with Vodafone’s data services on Friday evening left thousands of customers – mainly in NSW – with slow Internet speeds or no data services at all for several hours.
Voice and SMS services were not impacted.
Vodafone apologised after the event for an apparent lack of response to customer calls during the outage. “Unfortunately customer call centres and the MyVodafone portal went offline during the outage,” the telco said.
The outage affected Vodafone’s mobile and fixed broadband networks, knocking out services for Vodafone’s NBN customers in NSW. A smaller number of customers in other states were also affected.
