Claims Dreame Security Camera Exit Looms As Retailers Told Of Withdrawal
Dreame is preparing to withdraw from the global security camera market, according to retail sources, little more than a year after unveiling its NAVO range at IFA 2025 in Berlin and bragging about the range in Australia last year.
Sources claim retailers in some markets have already been advised of the planned exit. The scope and timing of any withdrawal have not been publicly confirmed by Dreame.
A search of the company’s Australian and New Zealand websites found no security cameras currently listed, despite both markets previously offering NAVO products through Dreame’s online stores.
The apparent retreat follows difficulties securing retail distribution in a crowded category dominated by established brands.
ChannelNews understands Dreame struggled to secure ranging against competitors including EZVIZ, Reolink, Swann, Eufy and TP-Link.
Dreame unveiled NAVO in September 2025 as an expansion into home security, promoting indoor monitoring, dual-lens outdoor cameras, AI detection and colour night vision.
The range was previously advertised through its Australian online store with dispatch from Sydney, while its New Zealand operation listed four cameras with dispatch from Auckland. The New Zealand warranty schedule specified 12 months’ coverage for the models.
A PriceSpy reference linked the entry-level indoor camera to JB Hi-Fi, although the product’s comparison page subsequently showed no active listings. That reference alone does not establish whether the retailer stocked the camera.
Public documentation identifies Dreame Trading (Tianjin) as the responsible supplier. The original equipment manufacturers behind the NAVO range have not been established.
Reviews have been mixed, with the cheaper indoor camera attracting praise for value, while the flagship outdoor model drew criticism over delayed recording and unreliable tracking.
It remains unclear how any withdrawal would affect existing owners, including ongoing app access, firmware updates, warranty support and replacement stock.
Dreame Technology unveiled a suite of new smart home devices spanning robotic cleaning, kitchen appliances, home security, and beauty technology last October.
The event in Sydney on October 29 highlighted the brand’s accelerated push into the ANZ home security market claiming it would become a leading smart home innovator in the region.
The “Rolling Through Summer” showcase introduced multiple next-generation robotic cleaners and security and smart home products that now appear to have been shelved.
