Mango PR Squashed By Big Brother

Printer vendor Brother has sacked its advertising and PR agencies, DDB and Mango Communications, as it looks to build its brand Down Under.

Mint PR, an outfit from Sydney’s northern beaches, will take over the spin doctoring account; North Sydney-based The Works will handle advertising.

Brother spent $2.3 million on main media from June 2008 until May this year, according to Nielsen AIS.

Mint PR won its account in a four-way pitch, according to industry rag B&T.
It will look after media relations, corporate communications, promotions and events across all the Brother business, which includes labellers and sewing machines as well as printers.

Founded in 2005 by Monique Haylen after she left the integrated agency Love, Mint has clients in the IT, automotive, travel, retail and lifestyle sectors, including Channel Seven, Georg Jensen and Plantic Technologies.
