Signum Launches Wireless HDMI Sender

Arista Electronics, the distributors of Signum products in Australia, says that this is the first product of its kind to be able to break through such signal speeds, delivering full uncompressed 1080p @ 60Hz (50Hz in Australia) video as well as 7.1ch audio support.

The new product was showcased at CEDIA this week in Sydney along with other HDMI cable “alternatives” such as HDMI over Single CAT5e/6 extender that runs 1080p to 50m (instead of the usual 2 CAT5e/6 cables) and HDMI over Fibre Optic converter, that can extend 1080p signals for over 300m.

Another product launched at the show is a 10.2Gbps (3.4G per TMDS x3 channel) HDMI signal equaliser/booster. Arista Electronics says that it is a step up from 2.25G per TMDS amplification to 4.3G, to deliver full 10.2gbps “high speed” signal amplification. The booster eliminates inter-symbol interference (ISI), a problem common in digital cables (such as HDMI), resulting in cable extensions up to 40m, for 1080p resolutions.
