MS Doles Out Partner Gongs

SYDNEY – Microsoft has doled out gongs to a number of its Australian user groups at its annual Microsoft Summit,  which opened in Sydney yesterday. Winners include Advance Computing, GIS People, Insync, Avanade, Cloud Collective and Single Cell.

Regional IT services provider Advance Computing scored a “Transform Your Products” award, with a cloud-based system said to have streamlined and simplified water brokering for farmers.

Insync won an “Empower Your Employees” award for a system using MS Azure, Skype for Business, Surface Hub and Office 365 to support people working from home for the Central Highlands Regional Council, saving employees drives of up to six hours.
