Android Still On Top Down Under

Numbers published by Worldpanel ComTech have revealed that Android’s market share of the mobile market in Australia rose to 58.2 percent in the last year. Android users made up 54.5pc of the market in 2015.

In comparison, Apple’s iOS made up 37.1pc of users, with the iPhone 5s, 6s and 7 holding three of the top positions when it came to the most popular models. Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge followed shortly behind Apple’s flagship, taking the third and fourth positions respectively.

The numbers follow a similar report by Strategy Analytics, which claimed Android handsets made up 88pc of all mobile shipments globally in Q3. – Channel News
