Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Set To Miss Major Feature

There was no FE for the Galaxy S22. Now, with Samsung returning to the Fan Edition idea, it appears the S23 FE will land with the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, not the processor as in other S23s.

While Samsung have previously ran with the same processor for FEs as the main phones of the line, this time it seems they are looking to cut costs by using the older processor.

According to a trusted tip, Samsung will be using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the same chip in their Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 phones. While it’s a step up from the 8 Gen 1, it remains a notch below the more advanced 8 Gen 2.

Still, many believe the 8+ Gen 1 will suffice. And it’s certainly a good chip for gaming, taking fast pics and using the latest apps.

There is one real-world feature that S23 FE users could miss out on, though, as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 adds improved battery life, as proven significantly by the S23+ and S23 Ultra.
