Mercedes-Benz has revealed its 2024 E-Class car will feature a selfie camera, built-in apps for TikTok and Zoom, and a so-called Superscreen.

Mercedes credits a single processor and its new software-focused architecture for allowing it to squeeze a number of new features into the car: previous models used multiple processors, which slowed down the overall experience.

The 2024 E-Class will come standard with a 17-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system with sound transducers in the front seats, Dolby Atmos, and  Spatial Audio through Apple Music.

There’s ambient lighting which matches to the audio thanks to the in-house Sound Visualisation feature, while the SuperScreen offers Zoom and Webex by Cisco video conferencing, the Vivaldi web browser, and TikTok.

Oh, and there is a selfie camera mounted to the dashboard, for the aforementioned Zoom and TikTok sessions.

The E-Class will be revealed in “coming months”, according to Mercedes.
