ViewSonic who have in the past struggled in Australia, because of a lack of support by mainstream retailers, y is now investing in new management in an effort to turn the Companies problems around. They are also launching several new products across several product categories. In the past their products have been sold by the specialist PC Channel which has all but disappeared due to competition from the likes of Officeworks, JB Hi Fi and Harvey Norman.

Dubbed the FuHzion line, the new desktop monitors include the 3D-capable VX2268wm which the Company claims, runs at 120Hz which is odd as this is a USA refresh rate for NTSC monitors and TV’s.

In Australia most TV’s and LCD monitors run at 100Hz

The 22-inch desktop LCD monitor is claimed to produce blur-free video for traditional 2D gaming, entertainment and graphic applications, while also delivering stereoscopic 3D when used with new Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision stereoscopic active shutter glasses for the home.

The Nvidia glasses are said to be compatible with more than 350 existing entertainment titles, delivering ultra-realistic PC gaming experiences. The glasses are sold in Australia for a shade under $300.

The ViewSonic VX2268wm will be available through Australian computer resellers from October at a recommended $559.
