BenQ’s General Manager, Chee Fui Chung said that its Eco-Spring Line for this year is all about minimising the bad effects of products on the eco system. One upcoming eco product is the world’s first 21.5-inch LED monitor, the V2200.
“LED is the second display revolution (the first one being the introduction of LCD) and we are heading towards that direction with the launch of our Eco friendly LED monitors. Not only are LEDs brighter and have a higher contrast ratio compared to LCDs, they also use less energy and is mercury-free,” says Chung.
“In addition to this, we are also reducing packing materials and will use 80 percent recycled paper in order to reduce CO2 emissions,” Chung added.
The BenQ V2200/V2400 Eco promises a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, 1080p resolution, 16:9 100 percent dot-to-dot, as well as BenQ’s Senseye Technology that adjusts colour automatically to give you the best video output.
Other products on display for journalists and 100 retailers include BenQ’s 1080p entertainment monitors, Education projectors with Crestron LAN control, home entertainment projectors, all-in-one PC (nScreen), six digital cameras, Eco netbooks, as well as an LED mini projector that weighs 640g and can deliver images up to 80-inches.
