Oppo Tipped To Launch 8.8-Inch Snapdragon 8 Elite Tablet
Oppo is already making waves this week with the launch of its new Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones, but rumours suggest the company is not stopping there.
According to reliable Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, Oppo is developing a compact flagship tablet powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset – the same 3nm silicon used in top-end phones like the OnePlus 15.
The unnamed device reportedly features an 8.8-inch OLED display, bringing vibrant colours, deep blacks and a likely high refresh rate for gaming and creative work.
This puts it in direct competition with Apple’s iPad mini and upcoming compact Android rivals such as Xiaomi’s next-gen Redmi K Pad 2 and Nubia’s RedMagic Astra.

Oppo Pad 4 Pro
If true, the tablet could launch in early 2026 and may later be rebranded as a OnePlus tablet for international markets.
The new model would join Oppo’s growing tablet lineup, which already includes the Pad 2, Pad 3 Pro, Pad 4 Pro, Pad Air and budget-friendly Pad SE.
This echoes Oppo’s existing strategy of cross-brand releases within parent company BBK Electronics.

Oppo Pad SE
The move would see Oppo enter an increasingly crowded premium compact tablet segment.
Nubia’s RedMagic Astra, released in September, has already set a new bar for portable gaming with its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 24GB of RAM, a 2.4K OLED display and advanced 13-layer cooling system.
Benchmark tests show it topping performance charts while maintaining long battery life and sustained thermal efficiency.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is preparing its Redmi K Pad 2 and Xiaomi Pad Mini 2, both tipped to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chip, continuing the brand’s push into high-end small-form-factor devices.
For Oppo, the rumoured 8.8-inch tablet could serve as the perfect companion to its new Find X9 series, which arrives in Australian stores on November 6.
