Automate Lighting One Bluetooth Bulb At A Time

No credit goes to the name here—it’s just Bluetooth Bulb—but the technology looks like it’s enough to get people talking. The company has implanted Bluetooth 4.0 technology into your everyday bulb, allowing anyone with a smartphone or tablet to pair the two together for remote control lighting in a range of up to 50 metres.

Owners will be able to time, dim and power their lighting straight from their Bluetooth 4.0 iPhone or Android smartphone and tablet.

The bulbs can be paired with multiple devices, and every component is replaceable, keeping the bill down for the day when they do burn out.

There’s even a RGB model which will alternate between different colour lighting.

At the moment the Bluetooth bulb is still a prototype, but the company expects to have it on sale via its online store within a couple of months.

Bulb specifications:
Socket types: E27 E14 GU10 MR16 MR11
Wattages: 3.-5.-7 W (both regular and RGB bulbs)
