Google has released another teaser for its upcoming Pixel 11 Pro, offering a clearer look at a mysterious colour-changing light built into the smartphone’s rear camera bar.

The short video shows the Pixel 11 Pro’s triple-camera system alongside a circular indicator that rotates through several colours. Google refers to the phone as the “next obvious move” for users of services including Gmail, Maps, Search, Calendar and Gemini, but stops short of explaining what the illuminated feature does.

The light is believed to be part of the rumoured Pixel Glow system, which could provide colour-coded notifications or visual feedback while Gemini processes requests. Reports have compared the feature to the Glyph lighting system used on Nothing smartphones.

Google’s latest teaser follows earlier leaks, including an image of the Pixel 11 Pro that briefly appeared on the company’s Google Fi website before being removed.

The company also previously teased the illuminated camera bar through its online store, appearing to confirm months of reports about the Pixel Glow feature.

Google is expected to unveil four models at its Made by Google event on August 12: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

The Pixel 11 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch display with peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits and Google’s next-generation Tensor G6 processor. Leaks have also pointed to new ‘Pine, Dune and Sterling’ colour options.

Australian pricing and storage options remain unconfirmed, although rising component costs have fuelled speculation that the Pixel 11 range could be more expensive than last year’s models.

Google’s launch will take place on the same day Honor unveils its new ‘Robot Phone’, which features a motorised pop-out gimbal camera and AI-powered subject tracking.
