Google appears to have accidentally given consumers an early glimpse of its upcoming Pixel 11 Pro after an image of the flagship smartphone briefly appeared on the company’s own Google Fi website before being removed.

The apparent mistake offers one of the clearest looks yet at Google’s next-generation premium handset ahead of its expected unveiling at the Made by Google event next month.

The leaked image suggests Google is sticking closely to the similar design of other Pixel devices, with the distinctive horizontal camera bar retained. 

The image doesn’t reveal any technical specifications and much of the expected innovation in the new device is likely to come from AI features and software enhancements rather than a dramatic design refresh.

The accidental image is the latest in a growing list of Pixel-related leaks, although this one carries more weight than other rumours as it originated from Google’s own website.

The image was reportedly published on the Google Fi service before being quickly removed, but not before screenshots circulated online.

Google has confirmed a Made by Google launch event is scheduled for August 12, during which it is expected that the Pixel 11 family will make its official debut. Other announcements, such as updates to wearables and further AI-focused software, are also expected to occur during the event.

The Google Pixel is known for its strength in AI-powered photography, on-device intelligence and software support. In Australia, the Pixel range sits within the premium Android segment alongside flagship models from Samsung. 

Pricing remains under wraps for now, however there are just weeks before the expected official announcement.
