Convoy Appoints New CEO

Convoy’s CEO McInnes advised the Board that he had made a decision to retire after 30 years as Managing Director and will remain on the Board as a non-executive Director assisting the company with its aim to expand its business in the coming years.

Geoffrey Matthews said, “Under Alex’s leadership, Convoy has grown profitably from a relatively small operation to one of the country’s largest importers/distributors of Consumer Electronics products with a remarkable Brand portfolio including world famous Bowers & Wilkins, JBL Loudspeakers, Monster Cable, Harman Kardon, Classé and OmniMount available at over 400 retail store fronts serviced by a 35-strong customer focused Convoy Team across Australia.”

“Geoff is an excellent choice to succeed me and I look forward to seeing the business grow under his stewardship. In his 41 years with Convoy, Geoff has played an important role in building Convoy’s Team and has been instrumental in setting Convoy’s growth strategy including the Company’s transformation to being one of the leaders in the CE business,” says McInnes.
