Cellnet has inked a major deal with Poly, and will distribute its range of audio and video solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
Poly – born of Plantronics and Polycom – is a manufacturer of wireless headsets, office telephony, and videoconferencing solutions. Cellnet is set to become its strategic partner in telco and consumer electronics channels across both sides of the Tasman, and also manage its ecommerce sales.
Quang Nguyen, Cellnet General Manager Product ANZ, says the agreement opens up the working from home space for Cellnet and will offer new channels for the distributor; this includes Officeworks and Telstra, previously handled by Brightstar.
“We are thrilled to onboard Poly with its current and exciting new range of products to offer to our existing retail customers, as well as expanding further into the workforce solutions space with our telco, B2B and enterprise customers,” said Nguyen.
Poly’s product offering includes USB, DECT, and Bluetooth headsets; smart speakerphones; and personal videoconferencing solutions such as webcams and video bars. Cellnet CEO Dave Clark says they are a leading choice for “every kind of workspace”.
“Poly is focusing on four areas of innovation: workspace solutions that address audible distraction in open spaces, as well as technologies that make huddle rooms as powerful as traditional board rooms; technology that allows people to collaborate, their way; mobile-first solutions for the modern workforce; and advanced cloud services that help IT pros and users get more out of their devices,” he said.
Cellnet lists Plantronics, Poly’s predecessor, among its distributed brands, as well as Logitech, a major rival for Poly in the videoconferencing space.
