Epson Reveal The Home Cinema LS11000 UHD Laser Projector

The latest product announced by Epson, the Home Cinema LS11000 UHD Laser Projector, bring together the most important features of their recently released LS12000 Pro Cinema flagship. Despite cutting $1000 USD off the price tag, Epson have been able to offer customers a device with the same lens construction, light engine and image processing as their ‘pièce de résistance’.

However, there are a few features little luxuries and features that have been withheld from the LS11000 to keep the price down, such as ceiling-mounts, anamorphic add-ojn lens option, rear cable cover and ISF calibration settings. Furthermore, the LS11000 has slightly less light output and a narrower contrast ratio.

The Pro Cinema projectors are offered in black, while the Home Cinema range is offered in white. For added convenience, the cheaper Home Cinema range does not require professional installation and can be purchased through Epson themselves or authorized dealers.

As a result, it seems that Epson have designed the Home Cinema LS11000 with a slightly more casual market in mind. That however is not to say that the new projector is a slouch by any means. In fact, it may be more than enough.

Features include Projector Placement Options, Pro UHD Advanced Pixel Shifting, Laser/Phosphor light source, HDR support, various colour and picture modes, a 120Hz refresh rate, Viewable Image Size Range, a throw distance of 4.9-62.4 feet, lens shift and zoom and sound dampening which result in fan noise of only 22-30dB, much quieter than other projectors of its size.

The LS11000 is powered by the Epson ZX processor, providing it with optimized colour, contrast, HDR, frame interpolation and resolution enhancement in real time.

The source life of the Lazer Light is a massive 20,000 of run time. Alongside colour and white brightness of 2,500 Lumens, this is a device you won’t need to replace for a long time.

The projector is easy to mount or hang, weighing just over 12kg, and comes with a wireless remote to prevent you from having to fiddle with the built in buttons on the projector itself.

Connection wise, the LS11000 offers 2 HDMI (2.1) ports with support for eARC/ARC, 2 USB Type-A ports, one to power an optical HDMI cable and one for 5 V, 2.0 A power, a Mini USB, Trigger Out, Ethernet cable and RS-232C for wired control.

While just like the LS12000, the projector does not offer any smart features such as built in WiFi, Bluetooth, streaming platforms or Airplay 2, the rest of the features in its arsenal make it quite a competitive purchase.

The LS1100 4K PRO-UHD is available for purchase for $3,999 USD.
