ByteDance Offers Music Streaming

ByteDance, the company that owns the wildly popular TikTok app, is developing a paid music streaming service, entering an already crowded market.

ByteDance is planning to launch the service around September with a focus on emerging markets in a bid to circumvent rival services, Spotify and Apple.

The company will target mostly developing countries where paid music services have yet to attract large audiences because of the cost.
