Apple has reportedly scheduled a product launch event for September 12 where the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 8 and other new products.
A report from The Wall Street Journal, which cited people briefed on Apple’s plans, backs up earlier leaks that also indicated an event has been scheduled for September 12.
The biggest new announcement at the event is expected be a major redesign of the new iPhone to mark its tenth anniversary. Rumours have indicated the iPhone 8 will feature an OLED display, an almost bezel-less design, facial recognition and wireless charging.
It is also expected to be the most expensive iPhone ever, potentially costing over $1,600 in Australia.
Along with the iPhone 8, Apple will also reportedly announce two more traditional refreshes to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus launched last year, as well as an Apple TV with 4K UHD and HDR capabilities.
