Apple Requiring All Apps To Embrace Notch

Apple has told its app developers that when submitting products from April 2018 they must be built with the iOS 11 SDK.

Apple says, “All new apps for iPhone, including universal apps, must support the Super Retina display of iPhone X.”

This means all apps have to accommodate for the notorious notch.

9to5Mac says, “Requiring compilation with the iOS 11 SDK does not necessarily mean the apps must support new features. It ensures that new app developers are using the latest Apple development tools, which helps prevent the App Store as a whole from going stale, and may encourage adoption of cutting edge features.”
