Yamaha Expands Their MusicCast Roster With A New Sound Bar And Speaker

Building on the successful launch of the range last year, Yamaha are fleshing out the MusicCast family with two new additions.

The YSP-2700 MusicCast Sound Bar utilises 16 speakers (each powered by a 2-watt amp) to deliver 7.1-channel surround sound in coordination with the rest of the MusicCast range.

As part of that range, the YSP-2700 will also feature one-touch streaming, as well as Yamaha’s IntelliBeam function, which automatically calibrates the speaker to make the most of the acoustics surrounding it.

Yamaha are also introducing the smaller WX-010 wireless speaker.

The WX-010 offers up both a smaller form factor and a powerful 3.5-inch woofer, supported by two passive bass radiators.

Bob Goedken, general manager of Yamaha’s A/V division described the WX-010 as a natural addition for the MusicCast Line.

“It gives MusicCast users a way to bring music to small rooms and spaces where shelf or counter space is limited.”

Like the rest of the range, both are expected to feature an eco-friendly Network Standby mode that automatically switches the device into a low-power mode after 20 minutes of inactivity.

The YSP-2700 will be available in September with a $1,499.00  and the WX-010 arrives in late-August for $249.00
