Sennheiser Offer Up A Premium Experience For Travellers With The PXC 550 Wireless Headphones

Sennheiser are making a move in the business traveller space with the the PXC 550 Wireless.

“With the PXC 550 Wireless we have crafted a premium headphone that brings Sennheiser’s leadership in high-quality audio to address the travel needs of the most discerning and demanding set of customers,” said Dr. Christian Ern, Head of Portfolio Management Select, Sennheiser.

The big draw here is the PXC 550’s NoiseGard adaptive noise cancellation tech.

According to Sennheiser, the feature “ensures uninterrupted listening by seamlessly monitoring and adapting to ambient noise levels – whether on a plane, train or a noisy street – to provide the exact level of suppression needed.”

On top of this, there’s an intuitive, earcup-mounted control panel and voice prompt system which allows you to switch the audio-output between four preset modes.

In addition, the SmartPause system will automatically cease music and calls when the Bluetooth-paired headphones are removed.

They can also be controlled from your phone using Sennheiser’s CapTune app – which allows travellers to customize and personalize the Director Mode with precise adjustments to the equalizer settings.

Boasting 30 hours of battery-life, the PXC 550 stands up as a notable improvement on the similarly-positioned (though slightly-less expensive) Bose QC35 headphones.

The PXC 550 Wireless will be coming to Australian airport retailers in Mid-July with an RRP of $629.
