XGIMI will launch its first professional-grade projector, built for boardrooms, event venues and serious home theatres, at IFA.

The Chinese company is framing Titan as the start of a new commercial line-up, extending a design philosophy that has won it many fans in the home projector market.

“We’ve spent years refining the experience of projection for everyday users,” says Apollo Zhong, XGIMI Chairman.

“But the needs of professionals – those building immersive events, leading meetings, or designing performance spaces – are evolving too. The tools available to them haven’t kept pace. We believe we can help change that.”

Details about the projector have remained scarce. There’s industry chatter about it bearing IMAX Enhanced certification, boasting a 4K UHD lens with a 1.4:1 ratio, and supporting 2.0x zoom.

What is clear is that XGIMI will be attempting to parlay its strengths – fast setup, integrated smart features, sleek minimalist styling – into the more demanding commercial AV segment.

The Titan aims to deliver professional-level visual performance without the professional-level price tag or complexity.

The Chinese company, founded in Chengdu just 12 years ago, is now hoping to achieve its ambition of creating a “category-defining” product. If it succeeds, those in the market for a professional-grade projector will soon have another option.

Channel News is attending IFA, which runs from September 5-9. We’ll share all the details about XGIMI’s eagerly awaited new projector as soon as they become available.
