Logitech G’s Streamlabs has launched Network Boost, a new mobile streaming feature designed to help creators maintain more reliable broadcasts when working outside traditional studio environments.

Available through Streamlabs Ultra, Network Boost combines multiple internet connections, including Wi-Fi and cellular data, across connected devices to reduce the risk of dropped or unstable live streams.

Creators can run the Streamlabs Controller app on a secondary smartphone, turning the device into a relay link alongside the primary streaming phone.

Streamlabs said the system uses “true connection bonding” rather than relying solely on failover, allowing multiple connections to work together during a broadcast.

If one connection weakens or drops, another can continue carrying the stream.

The company is pitching Network Boost as a lower-cost alternative to dedicated cellular bonding rigs, which can require specialised hardware and multiple SIM connections.

The feature supports streams initiated from an iOS device, while both iOS and Android smartphones can be used as relay devices.

Network Boost is aimed particularly at creators broadcasting from locations where connectivity can be unpredictable, including conventions, concerts, streets, sporting events and moving vehicles.

“A dropped stream means lost viewers and less revenue,” Streamlabs head Ashray Urs said.

“With Network Boost, we’re giving creators reliable connectivity without the physical or financial burden.”

The launch follows Streamlabs’ introduction of Stream Shift, which allows subscribers to move an active broadcast between desktop and mobile devices without ending the stream.

Streamlabs said IRL streaming continues to grow rapidly, with Twitch viewers consuming more than 391 million hours of IRL content over the past year.

Network Boost is included with Streamlabs Ultra, which provides 10 hours of access per month for US$27 (A$38) monthly or US$189 (A$268) annually.

A higher Ultra Plus tier provides 80 hours of Network Boost per month for US$79 (A$112) monthly or US$645 (A$916) annually.

The feature runs in the background through the Streamlabs Controller app while creators broadcast.
