Upgraded Nokia 8 Planned For Release

After breaking ties with the Windows Phone, Nokia has experienced a resurrection of sorts courtesy of HMD Global, who following wide praise of its Nokia 8 phone is tipped to release an upgraded model shortly.

Since its unveiling, the Nokia 8 has received many favourable reviews, inclusive of one from ChannelNews here.

According to a new variant passed through through FCC and followed by an announcement by HMD Global in Germany, the Nokia 8 is set to release a revamped version of the flagship phone shortly.

German site, WinFuture, states that on October 20th, HMD Global will release an upgraded Nokia 8 in Germany – to be followed by entry into America shortly after.

The upgraded model is said to feature the same Snapdragon 835 processor as the original model, though will boast 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Reports state the revamped device will retail for €669 (A$1001) and will come only in a “Polished Blue” colour.

Thus far its uncertain whether the revamped Nokia 8 will land in Australia.

Some eager Australian consumers are likely to tap into the international market, in order to get their hands on the revamped phone.
