Logitech G has launched its new G305 X Superlight wireless gaming mouse alongside the G316 X 98 wired mechanical gaming keyboard, expanding its G3 Series gaming range.

The new mouse joins Logitech’s G325 wireless gaming headset in the G3 Series, which is positioned as a more affordable gaming ecosystem aimed at players wanting higher-end performance without paying premium-tier prices.

The G305 X Superlight, priced at A$149, builds on Logitech’s popular G305 design, adding a HERO 44K sensor, support for up to an 8kHz report rate via the Pro Lightspeed Receiver, and a lightweight 59g body.

It also supports Lightspeed wireless, Bluetooth and wired connectivity, giving users the option to switch between low-latency wireless performance, Bluetooth convenience and a wired mode.

Logitech claims the mouse delivers more than 130 hours of battery life, with USB-C fast charging providing up to 3.5 hours of playtime from a two-minute charge.

The company says the G305 X Superlight has been designed to deliver pro-inspired speed and precision for everyday gamers, while retaining the familiar shape that helped make the original G305 one of its most popular gaming mice.

Logitech says the mouse is made using a minimum 51% recycled plastic and exposed screws to support easier repair.

The G305 X Superlight is compatible with Logitech G HUB, allowing users to customise performance presets, button assignments and other settings.

The mouse is currently listed for pre-order at JB Hi-Fi with a release date of 23 July.
