Upcoming 6.5-Inch iPhone X To Have Dual-Sim
The upcoming iPhone X Plus will reportedly have dual-sim capabilities with leaked code showing the phone’s software being able to support two sims.
According to 9to5Mac, in the iOS 12 software there is a component of the system responsible for the generation of diagnostic reports which has new references to ‘second SIM status’ and a ‘second SIM tray status’.
Another component references a ‘dual sim device’ showing iOS 12 will be able to support two sim cards.
The 6.5-inch device was rumoured to have dual-sim capabilities from Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo. This smartphone will come in black, white and a new gold tone.
Apple is a bit late to the dual-sim game as competitors like Samsung, LG and Huawei already using dual-sim components in their flagship models.
Dual-sim feature is handy for those living in Asian and European countries who go in and out of different territories or for those who constantly travel and need a back-up sim on the go.
Apple will be holding its annual conference next month where it will reveal the upcoming devices which are also rumoured to be available on the day of unveiling, a first for Apple.
