Telstra Customers Unable To Send iMessages

Telstra customers who own iPhones have reportedly been unable to send iMessages, Apple’s flagship messaging app.

Telstra tweeted out to its customers earlier this morning, acknowledging the issue, “Our team are working to fix an issue with Apple iMessage and Facetime for some customers. You can continue to send and receive SMS messages. We’ll provide an update ASAP.”

Telstra did not explain why the issue was happening.

If users are still experiencing the issue they can press down on the sent message for more options and press ‘send as text message’ to deliver as an SMS.

The telco posted on its website saying the messaging service is “being restored progressively”.

Customers were posting their outrage on various social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

No word on when it will be completely fixed.

UPDATE: Services should be back up and running.
