TomTom Hits Mainstreet

TomTom Hits MainstreetTomTom extended its retail channel for the TomTom Via 225 GPS in Australia, citing the “popularity” of the device.

TomTom Via 225 GPS is now available in “all major” consumer electronics retailers, after a stint as exclusive to Officeworks.
The 5″ GPS was launched in November 2012 and is now available in: Johnny Appleseed, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Ryda, JB HiFi, Harvey Norman, the Good Guys, Big W, Target and Myer.
This was due to the popularity of the device, a TomTom spokesperson said.

The market for 5″ GPS devices is growing in popularity here,Winnie Kwan, Senior Marketing Manager for TomTom Asia Pacific, said in a statement.

TomTom Via 225 has a pricetag of $149 features include lifetime map, Advanced Lane Guidance, IQ Routes and fixed speed camera alerts.
“Over time TomTom has seen a tremendous uptake of its 5” devices which there’s no doubt can be partially attributed to the ease of using a larger screen.
“Since introducing TomTom’s lifetime map offer, it is now an even more compelling proposition for consumers…it is important for us to make the TomTom Via 225 available to the whole market.”
