High-performance audio brand SVS has unveiled its new 3000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers, offering reference-grade sound for home setups at a more accessible level.

Building on the technology of SVS’s flagship 17-Ultra R|Evolution and 5000 R|Evolution Series, the 3000 R|Evolution subwoofers combine powerful output, deep bass extension and precision control in both sealed and ported designs.

The series includes the compact SB-3000 R|Evolution for musical accuracy and the larger PB-3000 R|Evolution for room-shaking output.

Both models feature a redesigned 13-inch high-excursion driver with a flat-edge wound voice coil, toroidal ferrite magnet motor and advanced suspension.

 

These components deliver fast, linear bass with minimal distortion. Driving the system is a 1,200-watt continuous (4,000+ watt peak) Class-D amplifier with fully discrete MOSFET output and an advanced switch-mode power supply, providing stable, effortless power.

At the core is a 295MHz Analog Devices DSP, the most sophisticated ever in a consumer subwoofer, enabling advanced tuning, low-noise performance and precise room control.

Users can adjust settings via the SVS Subwoofer Control App, with features including parametric EQ, port tuning (PB-3000 only) and memory presets. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections allow seamless integration into high-end stereo or home theatre systems.

“3000 R|Evolution doesn’t just improve on the original, it redefines it,” said SVS President Gary Yacoubian. “We’ve delivered deeper bass, greater control, and dramatically improved musicality, setting a new reference at this price point.”

Pricing in Australia starts at A$2,999 for the SB-3000 R|Evolution and A$3,999 for the PB-3000 R|Evolution. Units will be available from mid-February, with SVS Auto EQ room correction arriving via future firmware update.
