Roland has unveiled its latest portable audio interface, the Go:Mixer Studio, a compact, budget-friendly mixer aimed at musicians, content creators and aspiring recording engineers.

The device offers 12 input channels and six outputs, allowing users to record multiple instruments at once or connect external audio gear.

It includes two XLR inputs with phantom power, a dedicated instrument jack, stereo ¼-inch line-ins, an aux input, TRS MIDI ports, dual headphone outputs and stereo line outputs for monitor speakers.

Audio is captured at up to 24-bit/192kHz, delivering professional-grade sound. Each channel features its own EQ and compressor and the unit includes built-in effects such as reverb for real-time audio shaping.

A key highlight is the ability to record multitrack audio and video simultaneously via Roland’s iOS GO:Mixer Cam app. For desktop users, the Windows and Mac apps provide full remote control, offering flexibility for studio or home setups.

Despite its wide range of features, the Go:Mixer Studio is small, lightweight and portable, with large control knobs and a colour display for easy operation. It can even be mounted on a microphone stand, making it suitable for live streaming or impromptu recording sessions.

Priced at A$299, the Go:Mixer Studio represents a step up from Roland’s earlier Go line, which primarily targeted beginners and mobile creators. This latest model brings professional-style mixing capabilities to a wider audience without breaking the bank.
