Samsung have announced the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Flip5 and Fold5, in around 50 countries, thanks to record preorders.
Sales begun in countries including Korea, the US, Britain, France, Germany, Singapore, and China, with the company aiming to complete the global launch by next month.
Gaining 1.02 million preorders in seven days, it surpassed the 970,000 set by Samsung’s previous foldable models.
There have also been record breaking preorders in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, with 65% choosing the Flip5 model.
Samsung President and Mobile Business Chief, Roh Tae-Moon said, “Early users’ response to the new Galaxy devices has been demonstrated by pre-order momentum.”
“Our goal is to provide the latest and greatest in each category and provide our consumers with novel and engaging experiences that cater to various lifestyles. It is thrilling to see our vision resonating with consumers around the world.”
During the unveiling event at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023, Roh said the company transformed some of their wildest ideas into must have experiences.
Samsung are also globally set to launch its new smartwatch series, the Galaxy Watch6, and Watch6 Classic, along with the new Galaxy tablet including, the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra.
