Samsung’s next-generation smartwatches have surfaced in a new leak, pointing to design changes, new colours and upgraded software features.

According to tipster GalaxyTechie on X, the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will launch with new band designs, fresh watch faces and features tied to One UI 9 Watch, based on Wear OS 7.

The standard Galaxy Watch9 is tipped to adopt a boxier design than previous non-Ultra models, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is expected to feature thinner bezels, revised side buttons and a toned-down orange quick button, now reduced to an orange outline.

Samsung is also tipped to skip a Classic model this year, meaning the Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra 2 could be the only new smartwatches in the line-up.

Reported colour options include beige, black with a blue-toned band, and silver with a green band.

Battery leaks point to an 800mAh cell for the Ultra 2 and a 400mAh battery for the Watch9.

The watches are expected to be unveiled at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22.
