Samsung Galaxy S9 Tipped To Have A Big Pricetag

Now that the majority of the device rumours for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 have been confirmed, its time to move on to the price of the device and according to reports, it is not going to be cheap.

Korean news outlet, ET News says the price for the S9 device will jump from US$875 to US$925.

UK based publication Tech Radar spoke to an insider saying the device will be £100 more than the S8 model, so it will jump from £689 to £789.

In Australia the Galaxy S8 was priced at $1,199 and $1,349 for the S8 Plus.

Gizmodo points out this price hike could be a move to compete with the iPhone X as Apple raised the price from $1,079 to $1,579. It says the flagship phones were priced between US$600 to US$650 up until 2017 when Apple began to up the prices of its iPhones.

However, a price rise this big would be an odd move for Samsung looking back at its pricing history.

The S9 launch is only less than three weeks away so hold in there because all of these rumours will be addressed.
