Samsung Galaxy Fold Cases Revealed

With local pricing tipped to be a hefty ~A$3,000, consumers have received a sneak peek of protective cases for Samsung’s first foldable phone – the ‘Galaxy Fold.’

As previously reported, the Galaxy Fold will not be on display at every Samsung outlet, rather selected destinations with a premium concierge-like service.

Launching in the United States for US$1,980 in April, consumer interest has mounted over protective cases for the innovative foldable device, specifically the way it accommodates the handset’s hinge.

Spotted by The Verge, case manufacturer, Spigen, has now unveiled mock-upsĀ of its Galaxy Fold designs.

Featuring a Tough Armor, Ultra Hybrid and Thin Fit version, all three models protect the top and bottom bezels, with cutouts for its rear triple-camera system.

The cases are made out of plastic and silicone, in either a transparent or dark hue, with a hinge for the foldable handset – exact mechanics will be revealed closer to the Galaxy Fold’s international launch.

Other third party case manufacturers and Samsung Electronics will unveil their official Galaxy Fold cases around April, with the jury still out as to whether they will reflect the luxury device’s aesthetic.
