D-Link’s new PowerLine AV Wireless N Extender uses the existing electrical wiring in a home to extend the range of your Wi-Fi network.

Wireless N technology is incorporated into the device to offer an increase in data transfer speed over a range of 802.11g/b networks. To ensure your Wi-Fi signal isn’t hijacked by nearby web-browsers, WEP, WPA or WPA2 encryption keys can be applied.

Data can be transferred at speeds up to 200Mbps which is ideal when hosting internet to multiple devices that will share the speed among them.

Setting up the device requires users to only plug it into a power outlet and press the WPS button located at the top of the device.

D-Link’s PowerLine AV Wireless N Extender is available now with a recommended retail price of $129.95.

Alternatively, the Wireless N Extender is bundled with D-Link’s PowerLine Network Router Starter Kit which retails for $199.95.
