Ruark Marks 40 Years With Limited-Edition R810 MiE Radiogram
British audio brand Ruark Audio has unveiled a highly limited, handcrafted version of its flagship all-in-one music system to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
The R810 MiE (Made in England) Radiogram will be produced in just 100 units worldwide, positioning it as both a collector’s item and a statement about long-term design in an era dominated by mass-produced smart speakers.
Priced at £6,499 (Australian pricing yet to be confirmed), the R810 MiE is a premium edition of Ruark’s existing R810 Radiogram, a modern reinterpretation of the classic mid-century radiogram that combines furniture-grade cabinetry with a fully integrated hi-fi system.

Unlike cosmetic special editions, the MiE version is built in collaboration with British artisan manufacturer Storm Furniture, using traditional marquetry techniques rarely seen in contemporary audio products.
Marquetry involves hand-cutting and inlaying thin wood veneers to form intricate patterns, followed by multiple layers of hand-finished lacquer. Ruark is offering the R810 MiE in two finishes – leaf-line oak with sycamore detailing and penta-chord walnut with ebony detailing – with 50 units of each produced.

Technically, the R810 MiE mirrors the standard R810. It features a 180-watt Class A/B amplification system, five built-in drivers including a long-throw subwoofer and support for high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/192kHz.
Connectivity includes Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect and Qobuz, alongside Bluetooth 5.1, HDMI eARC for TV audio, optical and analogue inputs, and a built-in moving-magnet phono stage for turntables.
Ruark says the Made in England initiative is not about scaling local manufacturing, but about preserving specialist skills and offering products designed to last decades rather than product cycles. Each R810 MiE carries an engraved plaque and is assembled and tested at Ruark’s UK headquarters.
