Plantronics Release ‘Ultra-Light’ Gaming Headsets

Plantronics has released its new RIG 700 series of wireless gaming headsets in Australia, which it claims are among the market’s most light-weight.

The RIG 700 series headsets are now available to purchase from JB Hi-Fi and EB Games stores direct from $199.95 (Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC).

The headsets boast up to 12 hours of battery life, and are designed to provide “hours of wireless fatigue-free” gaming and entertainment.

Headsets to support the Xbox One (HX), PlayStation (HS) and Windows PC (HD) are now available.

Users can adjust game/chat balance via an easily accessible earcup dial, to customise audio levels.

The RIG 700 HX and HD models offer Windows Sonic surround-sound for boosted gaming sound.

“With its durable, ultra-lightweight design and long battery life, the new RIG 700 Series provides the best experience for gamers,” claims Peter Petrides, Director of Gaming APAC, Plantronics.

Petrides asserts Plantronics is now the undisputed market leader in gaming headsets for Australia, as per recent NPD Group data.

“Lightweight comfort and wireless design are two must-haves we consistently hear gamers are looking for in their favourite gaming headset,” adds Corey Rosemond, Global Director, Marketing and Business Development at Poly.

“Not only does RIG 700 Series answer that call, but it also brings competitive gamers the audio precision they crave, and endurance build that they need to rack-up their wins and get totally immersed in gameplay.”
