British audio brand Ruark has unveiled its new R710 CD Hi-Fi Console, a premium all-in-one music system that combines 1970s-inspired design with modern streaming, TV and physical media support.

The R710 is aimed at serious listeners who still want access to CDs and vinyl, while also supporting today’s major streaming platforms.

It includes an integrated slot-loading CD player hidden behind the front wooden slats, alongside a built-in moving magnet phono stage for turntables.

Under the hood, the R710 features a Class-D amplifier rated at 2 x 200W, supported by a switch-mode power supply and audio-grade internal components. Ruark claims the system has been engineered for low noise, short signal paths and effortless playback across a wide range of music genres.

The console supports high-resolution audio up to 32-bit/192kHz via compatible formats including FLAC, WAV, ALAC and AIFF. Streaming support includes Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, internet radio and Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD.

For home entertainment setups, Ruark has added HDMI ARC/eARC, allowing the R710 to connect directly to a TV.

Other inputs include optical, RCA line-in, USB-C, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, while outputs include headphone, line/pre-out and subwoofer connections.

The R710 also features a 6.8-inch colour TFT display, Ruark’s signature RotoDial controller and a rechargeable Bluetooth remote.

Available in fused walnut or satin charcoal lacquer finishes, the Ruark R710 is priced at £2,199 in the UK.

The company says availability is expected from October, with Australian pricing and local release details yet to be confirmed.
