Pixel 2 February Update Causing Overheating And Battery Issues

A recent update for the Google Pixel 2 is seeing some devices unexpectedly heat up when it is not in use and batteries draining quicker than before.

9to5Google reports users on Reddit and Google forums are experiencing issues with most users saying their Pixel 2 phones are warmer than usual.

One Reddit user posted, “It gets fairly warm almost instantly after starting to use it, within about a minute or so of anything really. Anyone got any advice? Battery life seems unaffected.”

Another had the heating issue and problems with the battery even with one app open.

Users are formatting the phones but still experiencing an issue. Those affected are asked to contact Pixel Support.

Google is facing a class action lawsuit on its first Pixel phone after the company knew its devices had microphone and speaker defects when they shipped the products out.

Google is yet to respond.
