![]() The new Philips Dynalite DTP100 Revolution colour touchscree was announced in Europe last month. It is designed to manage lighting and temperature and will compete head on with the popular touch screen from Switch Automation.
With the new Philips Dynalite screen an operator can execute simple and complex sequential logic macros. The inbuilt logic and time-clock also allow the user to configure schedules and sequences of timed events. “The touchscreen is designed to make the user interface as simple and as easy-to-use as possible,” said Phil Main, Philips Dynalite Residential Segment Manager. “It creates an elegant single access point for the end user to configure and control any aspect of their intelligent building automation system. They can also custom-modify pre-built lighting scenes, should they choose to do so.” Typical applications include homes, apartments, boardrooms and hotel rooms; the system is particularly effective for international hotels, in providing multiple language pages. The level of refinement in the Revolution colour touchscreen extends well beyond the designer fascia. The unit is specially designed to be fitted into a standard double gang wall box. Measuring just 5.7 by 9.5 cm, the screen displays 480 x 272 resolution graphics with 16-bit colour depth. This provides superior visuals of the control pages, displaying the necessary buttons, faders, floor plans and icons. |
