Oppo Tries To Mimic Samsung As Marketshare Slides

Chinese mobile phone brand Oppo who has a habit of mirroring Samsung initiatives, in an effort to be taken seriously is now having a crack at the foldable market following the success of Samsung’s Flip and Foldable smartphones.

According to sources the Chinese Company who has been losing share in the smartphone market to Apple and Samsung and is desperate to compete head on with the two premium smartphone brands.

According to Chinese sources, Oppo is working on its first-ever clamshell foldable smartphone with the new device set to be released in the third quarter of 2022.

Oppo is also planning a new foldable device with a large front display.

It’s tipped to compete with both the Samsung Flip and a new Motorola Razr device which is set to be launched this year.

The Chinese Company already has a foldable phone with Chinese media describing it as “squarish” and a device that doesn’t fit as much content on the screen as the Galaxy Z Fold 3″.

There is no word if the successor is any better than their first attempt.

The launch timeline of the next Oppo Find N device isn’t available yet or whether it will be launched in Australia.

What we do know is that it will have to compete with an all-new Galaxy Z Flip 4 which is tipped for October 2022.
