EXCLUSIVE:Major Management Shakeup At Big W
A senior management shakeup has been implemented at the Woolworth’s owned Big W, following the resignation last year of Chief Commercial Officer Teresa Rendo.
In an email sent to several brands earlier today, the department store retailer has chosen to split the former role with the appointment of a General Manager of Commercial Enablement and a second role of Commercial Director.
Management claim that the decision was taken so the business could focus on “accelerating their ambition of becoming a purpose led digital retailer” in the Australian market.
The two people appointed are Doug Frank into the role of General Manager Commercial Enablement. He is currently the General Manager of Data and Retail Analytics at Woolworths Group where he has worked for 30 years.
Amanda Lunn has been appointed as Commercial Director.
Management claim that Lunn will work closely with Doug Frank who will be responsible for pricing, space and range teams and merchandising.
Lunn will also be responsible, for the buying teams Design and E Commerce trading. She will also be responsible Quality Assurance and sourcing.
Lunn joined Woolworths in 2003, she previously worked for UK retailer Tesco.
She is currently head of Ecommerce trading.
