Oppo Teases April Launch for Find X9 Ultra as Camera Push Intensifies
Oppo has confirmed its next flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, will launch in April, with new teaser imagery offering an early look at the camera-focused device and signalling a major global push for the brand.
In posts on Chinese social platform Weibo, Oppo executives confirmed the Find X9 Ultra will debut alongside the Find X9s Pro, with both devices set for a simultaneous global release – a departure from the company’s usual staggered rollout strategy.
The teaser highlights a prominent orange-accented side button, believed to be a dedicated, pressure-sensitive camera control.
Oppo is marketing the device under the tagline ‘Your Next Camera’, reinforcing its positioning as a photography-first flagship.

The announcement builds on Oppo’s earlier announcement at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the Find X9 Ultra would be the company’s first ‘Ultra’ model to launch globally, rather than being limited to China.
At the time, Oppo executives described the device as a “next-gen camera,” with a strong emphasis on professional-grade imaging developed in partnership with Hasselblad.
While full specifications remain unconfirmed, leaks suggest the Find X9 Ultra could feature one of the most ambitious camera systems seen in a smartphone, including dual 200MP sensors and additional periscope zoom lenses.

The device is also tipped to include:
- A 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate
- Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor
- A 7,050mAh battery with 100W fast charging
Pre-reservations have already opened in China, with teaser images also revealing a large circular rear camera module on the Ultra model.
Despite the global launch plans, Australian availability remains unclear.
If it does arrive, the Find X9 Ultra is expected to compete directly with other premium camera phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
